South African Post Office has advised that employees launched a nationwide strike on 3 July 2018. Delays in the collection and delivery of all inbound and outbound mail are to be expected.
Japan Post has advised that Gifu, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, Tokushima, Ehime and Kochi prefectures in western Japan are experiencing typhoons, heavy rains and massive flooding, as a result of which many post offices, domestic sorting centres and mail processing facilities have been closed. Some roads and highways in these areas are also inaccessible to traffic, which is delaying the delivery of mail and parcels.
The affected districts and areas are in the following postcodes (as of 11 July 2018):

Kyoto: 6000000-6299999;
Osaka: 53000000-5999999;
Hyogo: 6500000-6799999;
Okayama: 7000000-7199999;

Kochi: 7800000-7899999.
The designated operator of the Bahamas has advised that it is currently experiencing delays in the shipping, processing and delivery of all mail items as a result of persistent electrical and air conditioning malfunctions at the BSNASA exchange office. The problem is expected to be resolved within two weeks. To assist the delivery on all registered packets and EMS (Speedpost Priority) items, senders are advised to include phone numbers, post-office box numbers and e-mail addresses (wherever possible).
The postal operator of Antigua and Barbuda has updated that strike has ended and all postal services have resumed.
Korea Post is experiencing high volume of incoming mails. Please expect delays on all mail to South Korea.
Sri Lanka Post has updated that the strike has ended and all postal operations have resumed.
Antigua and Barbuda – Strike
The designated operator of Antigua and Barbuda, the General Post Office has advised that postal staff in Antigua and Barbuda are currently staging a sit-in.
This is impeding operations and resulting in delays in the movement of mails.
Lanka Post has advised that the Joint Postal Trade Unions Front launched a strike from midnight of 12 June 2018, which will affect the delivery of all categories of mail from the Colombo Office of Exchange and the clearance of airmail consignments at Colombo International Airport.
