• 02 Sep 2019 Finland – Service delay

  Finland, Posti Ltd (FI) has advised that a strike by postal workers is liable to cause delays of up to 24 hours to some parcel deliveries on Friday, 30 August 2019 in the regions of Tampere, Vantaa and Jyväskylä.  Strike action is also planned between Sunday, 1 and Wednesday, 4 September 2019. If this goes ahead, deliveries in various parts of Finland may again be affected

• 29 Aug 2019 Barbados – Normal Operations

  Barbados Postal Service has updated that the national shutdown has been lifted and all postal operations are back to normal.

• 27 Aug 2019 Barbados - Tropical Storm Dorian

  Barbados Postal Service has advised that with the approach of Tropical Storm Dorian, Barbados is under national shutdown as of Monday, 26 August 2019. This situation will affect all mail and flights coming into and leaving Barbados.

• 26 Aug 2019 Hong Kong – Service delays

  Hongkong Post has advised that a series of public events, resulting in a blockage of streets in major areas of Hong Kong from Saturday, 24 August 2019, is causing serious disruption to the processing of all inbound, outbound and local mail. The impact is expected to last for a few days.

  Hongkong Post has advised that postal operations are back to normal.

• 14 Aug 2019 Hong Kong – Service delays

  Vietnam Post has advised that its inward and outward mail processing and delivery of inward mail (letter post, parcels and EMS) will be affected until further notice owing to Tropical Storm Wipha, which hit on 2 August 2019.

• 02 Aug 2019 Hong Kong – Normal Operations

  Hongkong Post has advised that postal operations are back to normal.

• 01 Aug 2019 Hong Kong – Cyclone Wipha

  Hong Kong Post has advised that its inward and outward mail processing and delivery of inward mail (letter post, parcels and EMS) will be affected until further notice owing to Tropical Cyclone Wipha, which hit on 31 July 2019.

   

• 30 Jul 2019 France - Service disruptions

   

  La Poste, France has advised that the holding of the G7 summit in Biarritz, France, from 24 to 26 August 2019 will impact all mail transport and delivery as follows:

  –          No parcel delivery in the commune of Biarritz (postcodes 642XX) from 24 to 26 August;

  –          Disrupted delivery in the following communes: Hendaye, Ascain, Mouguerre, St Martin de Seignanx, Boucau, Tarnos (postcodes 64300, 64310, 64700, 64900, 40390, 40220) from 24 to 26 August;

  –          Reinforced delivery service as of 27 August.
