Israel Postal Company has advised that interruptions and delays in the distribution and collection of all postal items in the south and centre of Israel are to be expected as a result of the security situation in those regions.
Australia Post has advised that a severe weather event, with bushfires in regional New South Wales, is affecting the collection and delivery of all mail products within postcode areas 2424, 2427, 2428, 2429, 2430, 2443 and 2446. There will also be impacts on mail flows into and out of Australia, owing to difficulties in transporting mail to and from the aforementioned areas.
Hongkong Post has advised that a series of public events, resulting in blockage of the streets and transportation network of major areas of Hong Kong since 8 November 2019, is seriously affecting the processing and delivery of all inbound, outbound and local mail. The disruption is expected to continue for a number of days.
Posti Ltd has updated that it is suspending all both for inbound and outbound airmail, as the Finnish postal workers’ union has called a strike, which is taking place from 11 to 24 November 2019. Please defer sending mail to Finland until normal operations resume.
Japan Post has advised that due to continuously increasing inbound volumes, there may be delay in processing and delivery of inbound items till mid or late November.
LibanPost has advised that all postal operations have returned to normal.

Posti Ltd has advised that the Finnish Post and Logistics Union (PAU) has announced industrial action, due to start in three weeks’ time unless a solution is negotiated. Posti is currently evaluating the potential effects of the strike and will publish more information on the situation when a more accurate assessment is possible and PAU has issued an official notice of industrial action. According to PAU’s press release, the strike is set to commence on 11 November and end on 24 November 2019.
