• 01 Aug 2019 Hong Kong – Cyclone Wipha

  Hong Kong Post has advised that its inward and outward mail processing and delivery of inward mail (letter post, parcels and EMS) will be affected until further notice owing to Tropical Cyclone Wipha, which hit on 31 July 2019.

   

• 30 Jul 2019 France - Service disruptions

   

  La Poste, France has advised that the holding of the G7 summit in Biarritz, France, from 24 to 26 August 2019 will impact all mail transport and delivery as follows:

  –          No parcel delivery in the commune of Biarritz (postcodes 642XX) from 24 to 26 August;

  –          Disrupted delivery in the following communes: Hendaye, Ascain, Mouguerre, St Martin de Seignanx, Boucau, Tarnos (postcodes 64300, 64310, 64700, 64900, 40390, 40220) from 24 to 26 August;

  –          Reinforced delivery service as of 27 August.

• 15 Jul 2019 French Polynesia – Normal Operations

  The designated operator of French Polynesia, the Office of Posts and Telecommunications has updated that the strike ended across all of French Polynesia on 11 July 2019.

• 11 Jul 2019 French Polynesia – Strike

  The designated operator of French Polynesia, the Office of Posts and Telecommunications has advised that an open-ended strike was called by postal workers throughout French Polynesia from 8 July 2019. Conveyance of mail leaving or arriving in French Polynesia will be severely disrupted until further notice.

• 28 Jun 2019 Bhutan – Service delays

  Bhutan Post has advised that it has been experiencing delivery challenges since Tuesday, 25 June 2019 as a result of the monsoon onset. The heavy rain has triggered landslides, which have blocked roads in most parts of the country, affecting the delivery of all postal items.

• 25 Jun 2019 Hong Kong – Normal operations

  Hongkong Post has advised that all postal services and operations are back to normal.

• 24 Jun 2019 Hong Kong – Service delays

  Hongkong Post has advised that owing to a public event resulting in a blockage of streets in major areas of Hong Kong on 21 June 2019, the processing of all inbound, outbound and local mail was seriously affected. Quality of service for all types of inbound and outbound mail has therefore been affected. The impact is expected to last for a few days.

   

• 28 May 2019 San Marino – Normal Operations

  Poste San Marino has updated that the strike action taken by Poste San Marino employees is now over.  Operations are back to normal.

• 24 May 2019 Lebanon – End of Strike

  LibanPost has updated that the customs strike is over, and clearance of all postal items is gradually resuming.

• 22 May 2019 San Marino – Strike

  Poste San Marino has advised that there may be delays in delivery of letters and parcels due to strike action by Poste San Marino employees since 13 May 2019.
