  • 18 Jan 2019 Switzerland – Normal Operations

    Swiss Post has updated that the weather in the eastern part of Switzerland has stabilized. Postal operations have resumed, with the exception of a few homes that remain isolated.

  • 15 Jan 2019 Switzerland – Partial disruption of postal services

    Swiss Post has advised that heavy snowfall is affecting delivery in the Alpine region of the Canton of Graubünden, in the eastern part of Switzerland. Closed roads and strong avalanche warnings are making it difficult or even impossible to deliver postal items in postcode areas 72xx, 73xx, 75xx, 76xx and 77xx.

    Thailand Post has updated that postal services in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province affected by the Tropical Storm Pabuk are back to normal.

  • 14 Jan 2019 Ukraine – Delays in delivery of EMS items

    Ukraine asks to inform that it is currently dealing with a backlog of EMS mail.The processing and delivery of EMS items in Ukraine is currently taking longer than normal.

    There are delays in the delivery of EMS items in Ukraine. It is taking every possible measure to stabilize the situation.

    Ukraine thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.

  • 09 Jan 2019 Canada – Normal operations

    Canada Post has updated that all operations impacted by the postal strike has returned to normal.

  • 09 Jan 2019 Antigua and Barbuda – Temporary suspension of service

    The General Post Office of Antigua and Barbuda has advised that all mail for Antigua and Barbuda cannot currently be processed owing to postal staff strike since 2 January 2019.

     

    Members of the public are advised to defer mailing postal items to Antigua and Barbuda until further notice except Speedpost Express Service will still be available.

  • 08 Jan 2019 Thailand – Flood

    Thailand Post has advised that Tropical Storm Pabuk, which hit southern Thailand on Friday, 4 January 2019, has caused flash floods in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. 

    Delivery of letter post, parcels and EMS items has been affected in postcode areas 80000–80999.

  • 07 Jan 2019 Ukraine – Normal operations

    Ukrposhta has advised that the embargo on imports of cargo and mail at Boryspil Airport has been lifted, and normal mail operations have resumed.

  • 24 Dec 2018 Ukraine – Service suspension

    Ukrposhta has advised that mailing to Ukraine be deferred as Boryspil International Airport has imposed a temporary embargo on incoming cargo and mail from 23 December 2018 to 3 January 2019 to enable a backlog to be cleared.

  • 14 Dec 2018 Uruguay – Strike

    Correo Uruguayo has advised that the country’s postal worker association has started a legal strike. Only letters and documents, as well as Speedpost Express items, will be processed and delivered. Registered mail and Speedpost items will be suspended till further notice.
