Belgium post has advised that a national general strike has been announced in Belgium for 13 February 2019. Road traffic in the country is expected to be heavily disrupted, which will likely affect postal services. Air traffic controllers and ground handlers at Brussels airport are also expected to take part in the strike, which will likely have an impact on inbound and outbound postal operations.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) has advised that operations have returned to normal following last week’s suspension of deliveries owing to extremely cold temperatures.
Correos de Chile has advised that a severe weather event, with rain and flooding in the Arica and Parinacota regions, is affecting the collection and delivery of all mail products. Delays can be expected for all mail products into and out of these areas of Chile.
Australia Post has advised that a severe weather event, with rain and flooding, in North Queensland, Australia, is affecting the collection and delivery of all mail products for postcodes ranging from 4804 to 4899.
The United States Postal Service (USPS), has advised that deliveries are being suspended from 30 January in the following three-digit ZIP code locations, because of the dangerously cold conditions forecast, with some localities set to see wind chill readings as low as -51°C and also the concerns for the safety of USPS employees :

The General Post Office of Antigua and Barbuda has advised that the strike has ended and all postal services have been back to normal.
Hellenic Post has advised that the Panhellenic Federation of Postal Associations has announced a 24-hour strike on 23 January 2019. Domestic and international mail collection and delivery will be impacted.
Correo Uruguayo has updated that negotiations have been fruitful and that the processing of inward international mail will return to normal on 28 January 2019.
Swiss Post has updated that the weather in the eastern part of Switzerland has stabilized. Postal operations have resumed, with the exception of a few homes that remain isolated.
Swiss Post has advised that heavy snowfall is affecting delivery in the Alpine region of the Canton of Graubünden, in the eastern part of Switzerland. Closed roads and strong avalanche warnings are making it difficult or even impossible to deliver postal items in postcode areas 72xx, 73xx, 75xx, 76xx and 77xx.
